Spelling BEE
Reaching Heights Adult Community Spelling Bee
The Dewey Decimators are the 2024 BEE WINNERS!!!
Runners Up: The Heights High very own
National Honors Society!
Congratulations!
We at Reaching Heights want to thank our amazing Cleveland Heights/University Heights community for a successful 33rd Annual Adult Spelling Bee. Because of your support, we hosted 16 teams with 45 competitors all spelling it out to win the ever coveted Bee Trophy.
Over the course of 6 rounds our final two teams were Cleveland Heights High’s very own National Honors Society against our reigning champions The Dewy Decimators. The spelling word that decided the round was “Puerilely” and the Dewey Decimators took the trophy once again.
We want to offer a special thanks to our team sponsors that supported our school teams: Krissy Gallagher, Joy Henderson, Thomas Dick, Dave Tabor, Tom & Marilyn McLaughlin and Beth-El Synagogue.
We would also like to thank our generous local businesses and community leaders that bought ads in our program: Woodwind Workshop, City Council President Tony Cuda, Jeane Gordon, R&T Landscaping, City Council VP Davida Russell, Grace Communion Cleveland, Laura Marotta, The Happy Pickler, Thomas Hodgkiss-Lilly with Howard Hanna, Future Heights, and Forrest Hills Church. Your support keeps Reaching Heights’ programs reaching out to our community, our schools, our families and most importantly our children.
We would love to get your feedback on our Annual Adult Spelling Bee!
